Anchorhead Coffee was founded by Mike Steiner and Jake Paulson in 2013. As audio engineers touring the country, they learned firsthand how difficult it could be to find good coffee on the road. They started roasting their own coffee in Mike’s garage and began bottling their cold brew to sell at local farmer’s markets, preceding many similar brands in the marketplace.

In October 2016 they opened their first brick and mortar in downtown Seattle (1600 7th Ave). Anchorhead started accumulating repeat customers with their award winning coffee, top notch customer service, and exciting media content. Their business rapidly grew over the next couple of years, resulting in the opening of two new locations (Issaquah 2017, and Bellevue 2019).

Today, Anchorhead Coffee roasts all of their coffee at in Duvall, Washington (about a 40 minutes drive Northeast of Seattle) on a Loring Falcon Air Roaster and continues to push the boundaries of what specialty coffee can mean to their audience.
