DHC brings you specialty coffees from all over the world. Their purpose as an artisan roaster is to showcase quality coffee from various regions around the world and roast them so you can enjoy all the nuance that there is to offer. They also ensure that you have all the information on where the coffee comes from. Traceability is of the utmost importance in coffee to ensure you know exactly what you are purchasing, and where your hard earned dollars are going to. Each coffee growing family farm, cooperative and region has their own take on so many factors like the type of arabica that is suited to the local conditions, how they harvest, process and prepare the coffee. DHC is focused on bringing you the best tasting coffee possible at the best price they can. They only roast fresh, to order.

DHC believes that good coffee doesn’t have to be complicated. Flavours should be easily identifiable, and we should be able to enjoy coffee without going through half a bag to dial it in at home. It should be versatile for all kinds of brew methods, and it should be delicious. You should know where our coffee comes from, and You should be able to get a nice bag of coffee without breaking the bank.

FLORES ISLAND – GREEN DRAGON

This coffee comes from the Eastern Sunda Island archipelago in the province of Nusa Tengarra of Flores Island, Indonesia.  The Komodo Dragon still lives on the west coast of this island, one of the few places where it can be found in the wild! This coffee is grown near the steep slopes of Mt Ranaka with an elevation of 2358 m. This organic coffee is Rain Forest Alliance (RFA) Certified. 

Region: Eastern Sunda Island, Indonesia

Roast Level: Dark

Variety: Djember (S-795), Tim Tim, Typica

Altitude: 1500m

Process: Wet Hulled | Hand sorted

RWANDA – LAKE KIVU

This coffee is a winner. Surprisingly well bodied and vibrant, it show cases the efforts that have been embodied in the region. Better coffee cherry selection, processing and sorting have helped create the foundation that the BUF CAFE sorting station has become renowned for. This is a very delicious coffee that reflects the values of the native growing region.

ALBERTA JAM

Alberta Jam is a well known and difficult traditional crack climb in the Ghost. It is in a really amazing setting that requires you to dig deep and pull upon all your skills to climb it. We felt this was a great name for a coffee, as it embodies what makes community awesome.  This is a beautifully balanced coffee with an interesting depth of flavour, and bold, just like the climb!
