Lalita is part of Fincas Mierisch, a family of 4th and 5th generation coffee producers from Nicaragua that made the jump into Honduras in late 2011. It is connected to their other two farms in Honduras: Cerro Azul and Santa Lucia. Each farm is dependent on each other as they have the wet mill and greenhouse with raised beds in Santa Lucia and the cupping lab, warehouse, and some drying patios located in Cerro Azul. Lalita has good altitude, with most of its coffee plots being shade-grown.
