There are two aspects at the heart Le Bruloir's mission.

First selecting, roasting and preparing the best of coffees. Always striving to achieve higher levels of coffee excellence. Second, to be an intricate part of society, a place of exchanges and projects, where ideas and relationships bloom, contributing to make their surrounding environment a better place.

Rooted in the north end of the Montreal Island since 2011, the red burgundy Diedrich heats the air in the small cosy roasting lab just across the street from the coffee shop. Coffee bags line up against the walls, 6 bags high. Cupping bowls and note piles lie on what was once the original coffee bar. Their staff works with attention, in an endless loop of roasting and cupping, roasting and cupping, always aiming to perfect their craft.

Le Bruloir takes part in a development project run by SOCODEVI, a Quebec based cooperative society working in international development. For Le Bruloir, this project fits perfectly with their objectives of building solid relationships with small coffee producers while encouraging farmers to develop and refine their methods and processes in order to access the specialty market. For these farmers, accessing the specialty market means a much better income, which in some cases is the difference between abandoning or pursuing coffee farming all together.

Join Le Bruloir as they inspire to do better for the coffee industry.

Halfway between the tropical fruitiness of the best Kenyans and the citrus / black tea of Ethiopians, this coffee from Burundi is a classic of the genre that perfectly illustrates balance and finesse. Resulting from a RGC coffee purchase relationship with the “Rotheca women's coffees” women's cooperative project, it's hard not to fall in love with this coffee both for the quality of the product and for the positive social impact

New Fair Trade certified coffee! A Rwandan coffee with a juicy fruitiness as well as a malty touch reminiscent of root beer! Its cooking is light, but still developed enough to give it a good length in the mouth. It is the result of a collaboration of regional producers associated with the Abahuzamugambi cooperative in the Huye region.
